Cookies & local storage
Effective August 6, 2026. Placeholders for contact details can be filled via environment variables later.
Summary
HollowCade does not run third-party advertising cookie networks. We use browser storage so the arcade can remember your local profile, preferences, and emulator saves.
What we use
- localStorage — active profile/account pointers, preferred UI skin cache
- IndexedDB — profiles, accounts, play history, favorites, achievements, local leaderboards
- EmulatorJS storage — save states and related blobs for games you play
Essential vs optional
These technologies are required for core features (sign-in on this device, saves, cabinet UI). There is no separate “marketing cookie” toggle because we do not ship that category today.
How to clear
Use your browser’s site settings to clear data for this origin, or remove individual profiles/accounts in HollowCade settings. Clearing storage permanently deletes local saves and accounts on that browser.
